We are Valérie and Noelia, mother and daughter, united not only by blood but also by a shared passion for quality and style, expressed through our brand. Atelier COSTÀ, based between France and Spain, reflects our mixed cultural heritage and our commitment to timeless design and sustainability.
How It All Started
During a trip to Spain, Valérie became fascinated by the living craftsmanship still preserved in small villages—especially the handmade process behind espadrilles.
Beyond aesthetics, it was the story, the gesture, the heritage behind each pair that truly captivated her. After all, who doesn’t own a pair of espadrilles without ever knowing the work behind them?
That encounter sparked something deeper. It marked the beginning of her own journey: designing her first collection with a clear purpose—to honour this timeless craft and bring it into a more refined and contemporary form.

Valérie is the pillar of Atelier COSTÀ. From the very beginning, her eye for design and her commitment to traditional craftsmanship have shaped the identity and values of the brand.
Trained in design and garment making in France, Valérie brings a unique aesthetic sensibility, shaped by years of experience in fashion, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Her passion for authenticity led her to explore Spanish villages where handmade production still survives, discovering techniques, materials, and ancestral know-how that have deeply influenced her path.
Her vision continues to inspire all our collections, ensuring that every product stands for quality, durability, and character.
Noëlia, Valérie’s daughter, recently joined the team, bringing a fresh new energy. As the mind behind our new branding and communication, she plays a key role in refreshing our image and building a closer connection with our clients.
Her eye for modern style and refined sense of elegance are also reflected in her growing involvement in the development of new collections, where she brings a contemporary touch that resonates strongly with our audience.
